"Severe Pain and Numbness"
"Last August 2022, I started to feel something was wrong with my body."
It started with a stiff neck and eventually I felt it was going down to my back. I'm having shortness of breath. By the month of January 2023, I underwent therapy for 10 sessions but still it is painful. Then I started to feel numbness in my both hands and after a few months , my left leg cannot walk normally, there's something wrong with it. I took different pain medications, liniment and therapeutic body massage, bone settings but still I'm in pain.
"By the month of April 2023, it got worse , I experienced severe pain and numbness."
In May 2023, my family and I decided to undergo an MRI scan and that' s the time they found out that there's a problem in my C5, C6 & C7 spinal nerve root compression. We consulted different surgeons who specialize in this problem in Iloilo until we met Doctor Jerold Justo, a Neurosurgeon who performed my cervical spine surgery last May 30, 2023.
It was a very successful operation, I thank God that I met him and Panay Healthcare was very supportive in providing all the needed equipment to perform this type of surgery. I am the first patient who underwent Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion using PEEK and Titanium implant with the aid of the latest surgical microscope of Panay Healthcare Hospital in the province of Aklan.
24 hours after the operation, I felt sudden changes and improvement in my legs and hands. I can bend and move it now compared to before I had my surgery. Now , I'm in the process of healing with a grateful heart.
